Who we are

Trade Automate (we, us, our) operates trade-automate.com. We build automation systems for trades businesses. Questions? Email us at info@trade-automate.com.

What we collect and why

Service booking form

When a customer submits a service request we collect their name, email address, phone number, service address, job description, preferred appointment time, and any photos they attach. This information is used solely to fulfil and manage the service request. If the form submission includes UTM parameters (e.g. from a marketing campaign), we record those to understand which channels are driving leads.

Ops Readiness Assessment

When you complete the free assessment we collect your first name, email address, business name, trade type, approximate revenue range, and crew size, along with your assessment answers. Your email is used to send you your results and — if you consent by completing the form — we may follow up once to discuss how we can help. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Paid report ($29)

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. After a successful payment we record that your assessment result has been unlocked so we can display your report.

Get Started inquiry form

If you submit the Get Started form at trade-automate.com/get-started, we collect your name, email address, and any details you provide about your business so we can follow up about onboarding.

Business client accounts

When a business client signs up to use the Trade Automate platform, we collect the account owner's name and email, their business name, any invited team members' names and emails, and the configuration data required to run the platform for their business (branding, Twilio and Stripe credentials, automation settings). Each client's data is stored in a dedicated database isolated from other clients.

Electronic signatures

When you sign an agreement through Trade Automate (for example a master service agreement or partnership agreement delivered to you at trade-automate.com/sign/…), we record your typed name, email address, IP address, browser user-agent, and the date and time of signature, along with a cryptographic hash of the exact document you agreed to. This record is retained indefinitely as evidence of execution under the federal E-SIGN Act and applicable state UETA laws. A copy of the executed agreement is emailed to both parties.

Automatically collected data

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare Workers) may collect standard server logs including IP addresses and browser user-agent strings for security and performance purposes. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Product analytics

On our marketing site (trade-automate.com) we use PostHog to understand how visitors discover and move through the site. PostHog records pageviews, referrer, approximate location (derived from IP), device and browser type, and clicks on interactive elements. This data is used in aggregate to improve the site — we do not use it to build advertising profiles or share it with ad networks. PostHog is not loaded for visitors from the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, and is not loaded on customer-facing booking forms operated for our business clients.

Communications (SMS, voice, email)

Trade Automate is an automation platform. As part of operating the service, we and our business clients send automated SMS messages, transactional emails, and — in some cases — route phone calls and voicemails through Twilio. Specifically:

  • Customers who submit a booking form or miss a call to a business client may receive automated SMS follow-ups (e.g. acknowledgement, appointment confirmations, review requests).
  • Missed calls may be recorded as voicemails via Twilio and stored so the business owner can play them back.
  • Transactional emails (receipts, estimates, invoices, reminders) are delivered via Resend.

SMS opt-out. You may opt out of automated SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message received from the platform. This will suppress all future automated SMS to your number. Reply START to resume. Message and data rates may apply. SMS programs are registered under A2P 10DLC where required.

Trade Automate does not sell your phone number or use it for any purpose other than delivering the communications described above.

How we store your data

Data is stored in Supabase, a cloud database provider. Access to service request and assessment data is restricted to authenticated admin users. Supabase is SOC 2 Type II certified and stores data in the United States.

Who we share data with

We share data only with the following third-party services required to operate the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication
  • Stripe — payment processing
  • Twilio — SMS, voice routing, and voicemail recording
  • Resend — transactional email delivery
  • Cloudflare — hosting and edge infrastructure
  • PostHog — product analytics on the marketing site (US-hosted)

We do not sell your data to any third party.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep platform and admin users logged in to their dashboards. On our marketing site, PostHog sets a first-party analytics cookie to distinguish unique visitors and measure repeat visits across pages — it is not used for advertising or shared with ad networks. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing info@trade-automate.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are based in the EU or UK you have additional rights under the GDPR. California residents may have additional rights under the CCPA.

Data retention

Service request data is retained for as long as the associated business account is active. Assessment results are retained indefinitely so paid reports remain accessible. Electronic signature records (signer name, email, IP address, user-agent, timestamp, and document hash) are retained indefinitely as legal records of the underlying agreement. You may request deletion at any time, except where retention is required to preserve the legal effect of an executed agreement.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
